Terms of Service
1. What Compass Terminal is
Compass Terminal (“the Service”) is a non-custodial interface for viewing and trading on prediction markets hosted by Polymarket. The Service does not hold, control, or have access to your funds at any point. All trades are signed by your own wallet and settled on-chain, directly between you and Polymarket's smart contracts. Compass Terminal is not a party to any trade you place.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and legally permitted to access prediction markets under the laws that apply to you to use the Service. Prediction markets are restricted or prohibited in some jurisdictions, including for residents of the United States accessing Polymarket's CLOB directly in some contexts. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of the Service and of Polymarket is lawful where you are.
3. Non-custodial, self-directed use
You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrase. Compass Terminal never has access to them and cannot recover funds, reverse transactions, or restore access on your behalf under any circumstance.
4. No investment advice
Nothing on the Service — including prices, price history, trending markets, or alerts — is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Compass Terminal is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial institution in any jurisdiction. Decisions to trade are yours alone.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Market data is sourced from Polymarket's public APIs; Compass Terminal does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Your Company/Entity Name] and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of funds, profits, or data, arising from your use of the Service — including losses from trades, smart contract failures, wallet compromise, or third-party service outages (including Polymarket's own infrastructure).

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Risk Disclosure
Trading prediction markets can result in the total loss of funds
Contracts can and do settle at $0. Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. Past market behavior is not predictive of future outcomes.
Compass Terminal does not control market resolution
Outcomes are determined by Polymarket's resolution process, not by Compass Terminal. Resolution disputes, delays, or errors are outside the Service's control and Compass Terminal cannot alter, expedite, or reverse a resolution.
Smart contract and infrastructure risk
Trades settle through third-party smart contracts (Polymarket's CTF Exchange and related contracts on Polygon) that Compass Terminal did not write, does not control, and cannot upgrade or patch. These contracts, like any software, may contain bugs or be subject to exploits.
Price and liquidity risk
Displayed prices reflect the current order book and can move quickly, especially in low-liquidity or fast-moving markets (e.g. live sports). The price you see is not guaranteed to be the price you get.
This app is new and under active development
Compass Terminal, including its order-placement flow, has not been used with real funds at scale and may contain bugs. Test with a small amount before trading a size you'd be upset to lose to a software error.
Regulatory risk
The legal status of prediction markets varies by jurisdiction and is evolving. Access to Polymarket or to specific markets may change, be restricted, or be withdrawn without notice.
